J. Bart Bradshaw, CPA

Bart and his family moved to the Methow Valley in 1983. He has had an accounting practice in Winthrop since that time. It started out small with just a handful of accounts and has grown to almost 700 accounts. In 1999 he merged the accounting practice of Susan L. Peterson with his. Bart specializes in helping small businesses achieve their tax and accounting goals. He prides himself with keeping up with the most current tax events that help small businesses. In addition to being the principal of this accounting firm, he owns a family business in town along with his wife Velma. They have eight children – Danielle, Sarah, Rachelle, Melissa, Madison, Megan, Bailey, and Parker. Bart served eight years on the local Methow Valley School Board. He is very active in his church and has donated many hours to other charitable causes. Bart is a 1979 graduate of Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. In his spare time he enjoys riding his horses and water skiing with his family.
Susan L. Peterson, CPA

Susan received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and an MBA in Accounting from the University of Washington. She became a CPA in 1979 and gained accounting experience working for both a local and a national CPA firm in Seattle. She worked as the controller of a large Seattle law firm before opening her own accounting practice in Winthrop in 1983. Since selling her practice to Bart Bradshaw in 1999, she has continued to work for the combined firm. Susan served on the Methow Valley School Board for seven years and is currently the treasurer of the Methow Valley Education Foundation.
Debra has been with J. Bart Bradshaw’s accounting firm for eight years. She received an Associates accounting degree in 1987, and then worked as an accountant for three different companies before starting here in 1998. Debra is proficient with QuickBooks, as well as tax software.
Jodi Gardner

Jodi graduated from Kinman Business University in Spokane in 1978 with a certificate in Business Management/ Administration Assistant. For over twenty years she has worked in her own office in Twisp, serving as a bookkeeper for several businesses in the Methow Valley. Since 1997 she has also acted as the Individual Trustee for the Kathyrn and Otto H. Wagoner Charitable Foundation, awarding college scholarships to local students. Jodi joins the staff at J. Bart Bradshaw’s firm every tax season.
Leslie Luther
Leslie received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado in 1992. She worked for Destination Hotels & Resorts as controller while in Colorado. Once she moved to the Methow Valley she has worked for several companies handling everything from operations to accounting. In the spring of 2007 she was hired to join J. Bart Bradshaw's firm for both accounting and tax preparation. Leslie spends her free time enjoying the beauty of the North Cascades.
